1. Experience. Send a CV with references and a sample of work you have typed. You may be required to type up one story as a trial run before hiring.
2. Accuracy. The copy will not be sent to a copyeditor after they are typed, therefore typist should be methodical and pay close attention to detail.
3. Should also be able to mark if they think there's a basic mistake in the original story (spelling, typo, etc), so we can decide whether or not to change it.
4. Ability to meet tight deadlines, and potentially working odd hours to meet them.
