Kevin G. Waithaka is a mechanic by profession and although he loves it he is more passionate about art. Born in Kiambu, he dabbled in drama, poetry and a bit of music. However Kevin always felt his calling was in the scientific world hence the reason why after school he pursued mechanics. A couple of years into the job and something was missing, soon his artsy side began rearing its head so he picked up a pen again and began to ghostwrite poetry for his friends and other people to perform. They never did his poems the way he envisioned so they urged him to perform a few of them, if only to do them justice. So Nemesis was born. As that persona Kevin began to perform poetry regularly at open mics and then slowly ventured into music. While still trying to find a voice and a channel to the masses that seemed oblivious to the wonder of poetry and art, a second persona, a country bumpkin who uses homespun humour and everyday observations to communicate was born: Man-njoro. Man-njoro and Nemesis have toured and done numerous shows all over Kenya. Including being the first poets to perform on Churchill Live...their music can be found at www.reverbnation.com/manimani as well as www.soundcloud.com/manimanithnemesis. Their poetry can be found on www.facebook.com/kevo.kaboom and they interact regularly with their friends and fans at www.twitter.com/Kevinmanjoro.
