The Revolution, made up of the trio of Kimathi Chokera, Saise Bagbo and Ngugi Mwangi, are a movement of leaders, working together, to create a positive social change through art and leadership.
The three met seven months ago at "Poetry After Lunch", a weekly spoken word and poetry event held at the Kenya National Theater every Thursday at 2 pm. They perform individually and as a group in captivating choral verse, delivered with intentional, energetic coordination. Watch them here at a past Kwani Open Mic event.
Kimathi Chokera aka Kalamu Ya Mshairi, is the 60th Slam Africa champion and a leadership trainer.
Seise Bagbo is Medical Student, Contemporary Dancer and poet.
Ngugi Mwangi is a videographer, actor, script-writer and percussionist.
