Juma's premier Album ?Kimombasa? was launched in July 2008. Lyrics the album narrate real stories and experiences gathered over the years. Juma believes that he is another Fella Kuti, Hugh Masekella or even Manu De Bango in the making. For more info visit www.jumatutu.com Githuku was born in Pumwani Hospital Nairobi and raised in Mwimuto 'Massive"A tiny village in the outskirts of Nairobi. He went to Visa Oshwal Primary School and later attended Jomo Kenyatta High and Afraha Secondary Schools. It was during this period that Githuku's art started to brew inside him.
It was at this juncture that he started to link his talent with the peoples struggles and fight for Social Justice. Inspired by the brilliance, power and mastery of acting by Joni Nderito, Mueni Lundi and Oby Obierodiambo and Dr.Mshai Mwangola among others, Githuku stepped into the battle-field of struugle at the Freedom Corner. It is at this now famous space at Uhuru Park that Mothers of Political Prisoners staged a painfu but successful protest in demand of the released of their politically incarcerated sons by the brutal KANU dictatorship. At freedom corner, the menacing riot police kept vigil day and night and as sniffy Special Branch state agents mingled with the people. Githuku and his comrades would compose songs and poetry as they protected the Mothers of Political Prisoners.
