We are pleased to let you know that Can do Co Dance Company are appearing at the Braeburn theatre and at Alliance  Jadini Beach Hotel , with a dynamic double-bill of spectacular dance choreographed by Protein Dance and Stephen Petronio.

CandoCo wowed audiences and critics alike with their season in 2002/2003, sparking the following responses:
One of the most varied and satisfying mixed bills in ages - Time Out CandoCo's new programme is its best yet - The Observer

Now, you have a chance to see their new season of work, as they have joined forces once again with high quality choreographers to create two new and original dance pieces:

MICROPHOBIA

The scene is set for a cavalcade of cheek, charm and chatter from the choreographic duo behind Protein Dance . Featuring music, movement, words and sign language, Microphobia has all the elements for dance theatre at it's best.

THE HUMAN SUITE

By New York maverick Steven Petronio , the dancing is physically demanding, precise and athletic and CandoCo's dancers skilfully rise to the public and from colleagues in the worlds of dance and education.

It would be great if you could join us.  Tickets are available from Alliance Hotels & Resorts booking office  .

“NEW EXPRESSIONS IN ART 2005 ”

The Kenya Museum Society has for many years offered an Arts Festival and Sale in the National Museum. This has taken several forms from the Carnival experience to an evening of art display.

For 2005 the Society is arranging a Gala evening in the Museum Director's Courtyard where some 300 pieces of Art will be displayed for sale. The evening will include music by The Nairobi Jazz Orchestra and Kenya Digit Quartet, a cash wine bar, snacks and raffles.

The Art will remain in the Courtyard for 2 days before moving to the main Museum Art Gallery for 2 weeks. During this time all the pieces will be for sale. There will be a ceiling of Kshs 30,000 per exhibit.

The event promotes local artists and assists them to sell their artwork. All funds raised go to the KMS and will support various Society projects in conjunction with the National Museums of Kenya.

The Gala evening takes place on Friday April 15 2005 between 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Tickets Kshs 400 in advance from the KMS office (Tel; 3750136) or Kshs 500 at the door inclusive a free glass of wine.

For more information contact the KMS office on 3750136/3743808.
