The Creatives’ Academy is a thirteenweek course, facilitated by writers, journalists, publishers and industry experts, that aims to equip writers with the tools they need to perfect their craft. Topics range from 'Finding Inspiration' to 'Editing your work to suit publishers' to 'Protecting your work: Copyright and other legal issues'.

The 28 facilitators lined up for this session include Julie Gichuru, award winning writers John Sibi-Okumu, Stanley Gazemba, Kap Kirwok Nganga Mbugua, Ken Walibora, Tony Mochama among others, Yvonne Owuor, branding expert Terryanne Chebet and Kenya Copyright Board director Marisella Ouma. It is truly a ‘For Us, By Us’ course.

The course, which runs every Saturday morning on Valley Road will be ending on 24th April 2015. It is open to all members of the public with a passion for writing. The fees are Ksh 500 per class, and an optional Ksh 3,000 for a Daystar certificate.
